Ted founded German American Radio in 2013, as a means to provide music and information throughout the mid-atlantic region of the USA via the German Society of Maryland.

Mr. Potthast's project grew to a worldwide presence, as the station over the years has added personalities, special programming, and on location promotions to entertain its audience.

Ted departed this world on August 18, 2022 at the age of 91. His life accomplishments were most impressive. As an attorney, he achieved well and formed great relationships among local and national leaders.

To all of us at German American Radio, he was an enthusiastic and supportive backer of this project. His kindness, friendship, and reliability is what in large measure has sustained our efforts.

We continue on with his guiding presence and legacy.

We will see you again, dear friend.
